Configuring a Communication Device

This section outlines steps for configuring a communication device.

For specific properties, see the CygNet Help sections for individual communication device types.

To Configure a Communication Device

1. Using CygNet Explorer, right-click in the DDS pane and select New Comm Device, then click on the type of communication device you want to add. (If you right-click on an existing communication device and click New, that communication device type is used as a template.)
2. Edit the communication device properties and click OK. (OK saves a record and closes it. Apply saves a record and keeps it open.)
